Our mission is to make excellent data storytelling a native part of modern software, so people can understand on-demand data as easily as they can ask for it.
Why we built Graphy
Graphy was founded by Roman and Andrey, childhood friends who have been building things together for most of their lives.
The idea began with a data story in The Guardian. It was expressive, instantly understandable, and made a complex point feel simple. It raised an obvious question: why could journalism communicate data so clearly while businesses still relied on intimidating charts and outdated dashboards?
We started by working directly with companies that had plenty of data but struggled to explain what it meant. We soon realised that the problem wasn’t a lack of effort or expertise. Most charting tools simply weren’t built for storytelling.
So we built Graphy.
What we're building now
Today, AI and prompting are changing how people find, explore, and interact with data. Insights are increasingly generated on demand, not confined to static reports and dashboards.
Graphy.dev turns what we’ve learned from helping more than 500,000 people create data stories with Graphy.app into tools developers can use in their own products. It goes beyond rendering charts, bringing together the visual choices, storytelling principles, and thoughtful defaults that make data easy to understand. The result is polished, effective data experiences from day one, without teams having to develop that expertise from scratch.
We have strong opinions about what makes a data story work: the right chart, a clear message, thoughtful context, and design that helps rather than distracts. Graphy puts those principles into the hands of every developer.
