Charting SDK for data storytelling

Charts that help readers see what matters

Turn research, surveys and analysis into charts your readers can follow. Highlight the takeaway, explain the context and give every chart your publication’s own style.

A React SDK for your website and publishing tools.

Expressive charts for every story

Make key points obvious

Show readers the comparison, context and caveats behind the numbers. Highlight a change, label the gap between values, and add notes, source attribution or an average line directly to the chart.

Make every chart feel like yours

Give your charts the same character as your writing. Reuse your fonts, brand colors and chart styles across posts and reports. Keep a consistent house style or let authors adapt it to the piece.

Refine charts as you write

Adjust titles, captions and annotations as the story takes shape. Bring Graphy’s editing controls into your authoring tools, or build your own. Undo and redo let authors try changes and return to an earlier edit.

Fits your publishing workflow

Connect Graphy to your website, CMS or custom authoring tools. Your developers build the charting workflow around your data, content and publishing process.

Frequently asked questions

What is data storytelling with charts?

Presenting data so the reader understands the takeaway, not just the numbers. Annotations, highlights, reference lines and a consistent visual style do that work. Graphy’s SDK lets your developers build those into your publishing tools.

Who is Graphy for?

People and teams who regularly publish data: newsletter owners, independent publishers, company content teams and newsrooms. The SDK suits those who want their own charting workflow and have developers to build it into their tools.

Can I add charts to my blog or newsletter?

Yes, if your developers integrate Graphy into your website or authoring tool. How charts reach your blog or newsletter then depends on that platform’s publishing and embed support. Graphy does not supply a ready-made newsletter publishing workflow.

Can authors create and edit charts without code?

Yes, once your developers have built the workflow. Authors can use the templates and controls you provide, edit titles, captions and annotations, and undo changes. Use Graphy’s built-in editing controls or create your own.

Can we keep a house style and still customize individual charts?

Apply reusable fonts, palettes and chart styles, then expose the settings you want authors to change. Your application enforces those choices. Developers can also create custom chart recipes for recurring formats such as survey results or benchmark reports.

Can we include sources, notes and caveats?

Yes. Charts support source attribution, captions and annotations. Use these to explain units, time periods, methodology or uncertainty alongside the figures.

Can we reuse charts when new data arrives?

Save editable chart settings as JSON, then reload them with updated data supplied by your application. Annotations anchored to existing data points follow those points. If a referenced point is removed, its annotation is no longer shown. Review the result before publishing.

Can charts fit different article layouts?

Charts can resize to their container or use a fixed size or aspect ratio. Preview the charts, labels and annotations in your desktop and mobile article layouts as part of your publishing checks.

What about email newsletters and social images?

Email and social need an image, not an interactive chart. The SDK renders charts in your web application, and your developers build and test the export.

When does an SDK make sense over a hosted chart tool?

An SDK suits a publisher that wants charting inside its own tools, control over the authoring experience and reusable visual styles. A hosted tool can suit a team or solo creator that wants a complete chart-making and publishing service with less development work.
